Special sections were a fun part of my regular newspaper design job. Each city had their own theme every year and most had a button designed by a local kid. I had to research these events, play with the graphics and make it come to life on paper. A few, like Ramsey County Fair, had a whole suite of materials that needed to match. The inside of these pieces were typical newspaper and ad layout, with a lot less graphics.
